I still haven't received my voucher. What should I do?
The voucher is sent after you do the payment. If you confirmed the payment and you still haven’t received the voucher you should contact our booking department trough the following email email@example.com.
How can I change my booking?
You may change your booking directly on the link you received with the voucher.
Is there any discount for hiring multiple vehicles?
The rates change regarding the availability and the season in place. There is no discount when hiring multiple vehicles nor it is possible to have more than one rental under the same driver’s name.
Do you allow animals inside your vehicles?
Pets are allowed to travel inside our vehicles. Even though there is no fee applied, pet owners are responsible for any damage and dirtiness caused by their animals.
What is included in the rental price?
The rental includes CDW, THP, VAT, Airport fee and Unlimited Mileage.
How much is the excess/deposit?
The excess amount varies considering the vehicle chosen. Values between 1100,00€ and 7100,00€.
Where should I return the vehicle?
The vehicle should be return in the same location where it is collected. You may change the location to another city with previous notice. The fees applied for the service are the following: From Lisbon to Oporto or Oporto to Lisbon: 125,00€+VAT From Lisbon to Faro or Faro to Lisbon: 125,00€+VAT From Oporto to Faro or Faro to Oporto: 175,00€+VAT This service is not available in Funchal and Ponta Delgada stores.
Is there any mileage limit?
Your booking includes unlimited mileage.
Why is the price higher since the last time I’ve searched the same vehicle for the same dates?
The rate changes due to vehicles availability. The rates are adjustable and may change by minute to guarantee the best competitive price.
What is your fuel policy?
Return as pick up. You should return the vehicle with the same amount of fuel as when picked up.
Is there any cancellation fee?
The cancellation is free.
What is your cancellation policy?
Our cancellation policy is free as long as the booking is cancelled within 48 hours prior than the pick up date.
Which documents will I need to collect the vehicle?
In order to collect the vehicle you should have your booking confirmation e-voucher, your passport or ID, driver's license and a MasterCard or Visa credit card. We do not accept American Express.
Which credit cards are accepted to book a vehicle?
We only accept Visa or MasterCard Credit cards. American Express and Dinners Club are not accepted.
Can I use another person's credit card to book a vehicle?
That is not possible. The renter should present a valid MasterCard or Visa credit card with the same name as the driver's license.
Can I book a car for somebody else?
Yes, if it gathers all conditions. You just need to fill in all the drivers' details while booking. The credit card to present at the desk must be under the driver's name and not the person who is making the booking if not the driver.
Can I drive the vehicle to another country?
Yes. You can go to Spain Mainland. (Islands are not permitted). This has a cost of 35,00€ +VAT (43,05€) per rental.
What should I do in case of an accident or damage to the vehicle?
In case of an accident and/ or damage you should contact Drive on Holidays (00351 92 626 48 67 / 00351 212697488) and the police authorities.
What should I look for when booking a car?
You should look for a car that fulfills your needs: Always consider space: if you chose a car with considerable space for all passengers and luggage, you will feel much more comfortable and will enjoy it more.
I don't have a credit card. Can I still book a vehicle?
The credit card is a mandatory document to book and collect the vehicle. The credit card should be under the main driver's name or the additional driver as long as present when collecting the vehicle.
I've already finished my rental and wish to make a claim.
All claims should be sent in writing directly to our customer care department through the following email: firstname.lastname@example.org with the rental agreement number or booking number for registration.
Do you have a Lost & Found department?
If you think you left any belonging inside the rented vehicle, you should contact our customer care department to the following email: email@example.com You should mention your rental agreement number to proceed with its registration and search. Drive on Holidays is not responsible for lost property as the renters are responsible for their personal belongings. Nevertheless, we will do our best to help you.
Is it possible to rent snow chains for tires?
We don't have that possibility.
Is it possible to rent roof racks for the vehicle?
We don't have that possibility.
Is it necessary to report damage when no other vehicle was involved?

Do I need to have an international driver's license?
If your driver's license is not written in the Romanic alphabet (Ex. Arabic, Greek, Russian, or Chinese) you should provide an international driver's license as well as the national one.
How can I extend my rental?

How can I pay the Portuguese Toll?
Our fleet is equipped with Electronic Toll devices for you to be able to pay the tolls directly to Drive on Holidays which works as a mediation with Portuguese toll entities. Rental cost for the device: 1,50€+ VAT per day with a maximum of 15,00€+ VAT per rental. A 70,00€ deposit will be required for any pending toll after the rental ends. This will be released as soon as all is settled.
What are my insurance coverage options?
You have 5 types of excess waiver coverages: Excess Reduction: Minimum of 7 days rental - Reduces the excess from 350,00€ to 3000,00€ (depending on the car group) in case of accident damages. Damages which do not result from an accident are not covered. This implies the provision of a police report. Excess Cover: Minimum of 5 days rental - Reduces the excess to 0,00€ in case of accident damages. Damages which do not result from an accident are not covered. This implies the provision of a police report. Total Relax Coverage: Minimum of 4 days rental - Reduces the excess to 0,00€ in case of accident, theft (as long the vehicle key is returned), coverage of forced and damage locks, windshield, windows, scratches, and dents. This implies the provision of a police report. Vandalism Insurance: Doesn't cover the excess. It only covers damages caused by vandalism acts such as broken windows and forced or damaged locks. This implies the provision of a police report. Damages which result from an accident are not covered. The excess will be applicable. Short Rental Option: This option is only possible for 1 to 3 days Rental, with a mandatory excess from 350,00€ to 4000,00€, in case of collision or in case of theft (as long the vehicle key is returned), coverage of forced and damage locks, windshield, windows, scratches, and dents.
