Can I book a car for somebody else?

Yes, as long as it gathers all conditions.
You just need to fill in all of the drivers' details while booking, however the documentation to collect the vehicle must be from the dirver/renter and not yours.

Can I drive the vehicle to another country?

You can only go to Spain Mainland.( Spanish Islands are not included).
This service has a fee of 33€+VAT and it should be added when making the booking or requested when picking up the vehicle at rental desk.

Can I use another person's credit card to book a vehicle?

That is not possible.
The renter should present a valid MasterCard or Visa credit card with the same name as the driver's licence.

Do I need to have an International driver licence?

If your driver licence is not written in romanic alfabet ( Ex. Arabic, Greek, Russian or Chinese) you should provide an international drivers licence as well as the national one.

Do you allow animals inside your vehicles?

Pets are allowed to travel inside our vehicles.
Even though there is no fee applied, pet owners are responsible for any damage and dirtyness caused by their animals.

Do you have a Lost & Founds department?

If you think you left any belonging inside the rented vehicle, you should contact our costumer care department to the following email: operationsdept@driveonholidays.com
You should mention your rental agreement number in order to procced with it’s register and search.
Drive on Holidays is not responsible for loss property as the renters are responsible for their personal belongings.
Nevertheless we will do our best to help you.

How can I change my booking?

You may change your booking directly in this site or trough the email reservas@driveonholidays.com

How can I extend my rental?

In order to extend your rental you should advises us until 48 hours before teh drop off to the following contacts: reservas@driveonholidays.com or 00351 212 697 486.

How can I pay the portuguese Toll?

Our fleet is equiped with Electronic Toll devices in order for you to be able to pay the tolls directly to Drive on Holidays.
This service activation allows you to pay the electronic tolls directly to us when returning the vehicle.
Service price: 1,50€+ VAT per day with a maximum of 15,00€+ VAT per rental.

How much is the excess/deposit?

The excess amount goes from 1100€ to 7100€ regarding the vehicle hired.

I don't have a credit card. Can I still book a vehicle?

The credit card is a mandatory document in order to book and collect the vehicle.
The credit card should be under the main drivers' name or the aditional driver as long as present when collecting the vehicle.

I still haven't receive my voucher. What should I do?

The voucher is sent after you do the payment.
If you confirmed the payment and you still haven’t receive the voucher you should contact our booking deparment trough the following email reservas@driveonholidays.com

I've already finished my rental and wish to make a claim.

All claims should be sent per written directly to our customer care department trough the following email: operationsdept@driveonholidays.com with the rental agreement number or booking number for register.

Is it necessary to report a damage when no other vehicle was involved?

In case of damage you should always contact Drive on Holidays trough the following contacts.  00 351 92 626 4867 or 00351 212 697 488.

Is it possible to rent roof racks for the vehicle?

We don't have that possibility.

Is it possible to rent snow chains for tyres?

We don’t have that possibility.

Is there any cancellation fee?

The cancelation is free.

Is there any discount for hiring multiple vehicles?


The rates change regarding the availability and the season in place.
There is no discount.

Is there any milleage limit?

Your booking includes unlimited milleage.

What are my insurace coverage options?

You have 5 types of excess waiver insurance:

Excess Reduction:
Minimum of 7 days rental - Reduces the excess from 350€ to 3000€ (depending on the group hired)  in case of accident damages.
Excess Cover:
Minimum of 5 days rental- Reduces the excess to 0,00€ in case of accident damages.
Total Relax Coverage:
Minimum of 4 days rental- Reduces the excess to 0,00€ in case of accident and theft plus coverage to forced and damage locks,windshield, windows,scrathces and dents.
Vandalism Insurance:
Doesn't cover the excess. It only covers damages caused by vandalism acts such as broken windows and forced or damaged locks.
Short Rental Option: 

This option is only possible for 1 to 3 days Rental, with a mandatory excess from 350€ to 4000€ ( depending on the group hired), in case of collision or in case of theft. It covers car locks, windows, mirrors, scratches and dents. 
 

What is included in the rental price?

The rental includes CDW, THP, VAT, Airport fee and Unlimited Milleage.

What is your cancelation policy?

Our cancelation policy is free as long as the booking is cancel with a 48 hours advance.

What is your fuel policy?

Return as pick up.
You should return the vehicle with the same amount of fuel as when picked up.

Drive on Holidays supplies an outside normal working hour’s service. However, there is an additional charge for this service, which will be payable directly at the desk when not previously booked. It means that in the event that a flight delay causes the car pick-up to fall outside normal working hours, Drive on Holidays agrees to provide an out-of-hours service – with a fee applied.

We applied a fee for all services between 20h00 and 08h00 with the value of 33,00€.

 

What should I do in case of an accident or damage to the vehicle?

In case of an accident and/ or damage you should contact Drive on Holidays ( 00351 92 626 48 67 / 00351 212 697 488 ) and the local authorities.

What should I look for when booking a car?

You should look for a car that fulfill your needs:
Always consider space: if you chose a car with considerable space for all passangers and luggage, you will feel much more confortable and will enjoy it more.

Where should I return the vehicle?

The vehicle should be return in the same location where collected.
You may change the location to another city with previous notice.
The fees applied for the service are the following:
From Lisbon to Oporto or Oporto to Lisbon: 125€+VAT
From Lisbon to Faro or Faro to Lisbon: 125€+VAT
From Oporto to Faro or Faro to Oporto: 175€+VAT

Which credit cards are accepted to book a vehicle?

We only accept Visa or MasterCard Credit cards.
American Express, Dinners Club and virtual credit cards are not accepted.

Which documents will I need to colect the vehicle?

In order to colect the vehicle you should have your booking confirmation voucher,your passport or ID, driver licence and a MasterCard or Visa credit card.

Why is the price higher since the last time I search the same vehicle for the same dates?

The rate changes due to vehicles availability.
The rates are adjustable and may change minute by minute in order to maintain the best competitive price.
